Rehabilitation

I forgot to mention that Dr. Zerick met with Tom and I on Monday evening to see how we were doing.  Prior to his coming I had put in a worship CD that Anne Marie Weakley made for us.  There was a sweet presence of God in the room.  When Dr. Zerick came in he sat down in a chair in the room and just said how sorry he was that Tom had lost the use of his right side.  He proceeded to say he had no indications as to whether Tom would be able to regain that movement.  He tried to encourage us that he would do whatever he could to prolong Tom's life.  I shared that only God knows the number of our days and Tom agreed.  We shared with him that our prayer is that God will use this to bring God glory and hoped he could see a glimpse of God through us.  Dr. Zerick said he has never seen a patient loved so much.  I agreed!  It was a special moment as the three of us cried together and let the pain release through the tears.
Pray for Dr. Zerick's Salvation
Tom started today with a full schedule of rehabilitation.  He receives 6 half hour sessions of speech, physical and occupational therapy a day.  He is exhausted.  We are asking that if you are able to come for a short visit that you would make your visits between 6 and 8 p.m.

Dear Lisa, Tom and Family,
I have been following the "anglea homefront news" and am so touched by how God has used the whole family, school staff and all those who love your family regardless of how well they know them. I continue to pray for Our Loving Fathers' comfort, strength, compassion and healing touch upon Tom. Keep sowing the seed and know that God will continue to provide the rest. Dr. Zerick's time will come as we continue to pray for his salvation.
The "Holy Experience - Because Really, There’s a Purpose in all This {video}" is so perfect for your blog. Nothing could explain it all better than this. It gave me the chills and then came the tears. We serve such an awesome God! The pictures of the remodeling of your home are touching; seeing so many of God's hands doing the work...what a praise. Continued prayers for God's perfect timing to get Tom home and for you to get sleep and rest you need daily to stay strong for Tom. I am Praising God for the gift of such a close knit family.
Sincerely,
Lisa Johnson (Steph Smith's mom)
