Busy Day!

9:30 a.m. - Sam VanVoorhis
Tuesday started with a visit from from Sam VanVoorhis.  The VanVoorhis family we met at church and they have since moved to a milder climate in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida just outside of Jacksonville.  Sam & Julie were in our Sunday school class, a small bible study and our daughter babysat for their two children, Anna & Ethan.  We miss them greatly here in Columbus, however we know they are serving the Lord faithfully there in FL.  Tom was able to take a trip of a lifetime several years ago with Sam and some friends.  They travelled to Oregon and played golf at Bandon Dunes.  A memory Tom will never forget.  Thank you Sam for making it a priority to come and visit.  We certainly appreciate you, your family and your prayers on our behalf.
11:00 a.m. - Principal's Photo Shoot (CANCELLED)
1:15 p.m. - Radiation
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Nap Time!
4:15 p.m. - Mulch Delivery
We are so thankful to Bob Johnson (fellow WCHS employee/friend) who provided our mulch, delivered and hauled it to the beds for us!  Tom wanted to help so badly but knew that would wipe him out!  Thanks, Bob!
4:45 - Appointment with Dr. Zerick
Dr. Zerick is Tom's surgeon and if you remember correctly, notorious on time management.  With that in mind we went to this appointment knowing we would be waiting for some time.  We walked out of his office at 7:00 p.m.!  He is very kind and took all the time we needed to talk and answer questions (we think this is a good thing, just schedule less people!!).  He wants Tom to stay on the anti-seizure medication for now.  Before he would give Tom the "go ahead" on driving he requested an EEG (to detect any seizure activity) and would also want Tom to take a remedial driving test at Dodd Hall.  This was not the news Tom wanted to hear, but we are staying positive and trusting the doctor to lead us in Tom's best interest.
7:00 p.m. - Pick up dinner at Chipotle!
We decided to treat ourselves to Chipotle bols since it was so late.  Chipotle is one of our favorites and it hit the spot last night and of course it tasted GREAT to Tom!
