Happy Birthday Zac!

Today we celebrate the birth of our 15 year old nephew, Zac.  What life he has brought to our family rounding out and bringing up the end of my parent's eleven grandchildren!  We are so proud of him and his love for Jesus.  He is currently at UNC Wilmington at his church's leadership training for teens.  We are praying that Zac will hear God speak to him personally and that he will be obedient to God's voice...and that he would have a very special birthday!
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me and gave Himself up for me."
Galatians 2:20
Zac & His 4 Sisters
Zac will start his freshman year at WCHS next month and his Uncle Tom will not be his principal, for which we are very sad about...however, we will be cheering him on in all he does whether it be on the soccer field, basketball court, on the track or in the classroom!  We love him to pieces and pray that his life will reflect Jesus Christ in all he does and many people will be drawn to Jesus because they know Zac.
Now for life on the homefront:

Pops, Karen & Granny
We are so thankful to our church, Grace Polaris, and for Karen Carmen for hosting Tom's parents at the Mission's House during their stay here in Columbus.  What a pleasant place for Pops and Granny to rest their heads each night and have a break from life with us!  We so appreciate Karen's hospitality and her kindness to all of us.  We enjoyed having her here for dinner this week and she brought an amazing fruit trifle for dessert...thanks Karen!

While Tom and I were at OSU yesterday for Tom's 8th Avastin infusion Granny was on "dinner duty" and we knew it would be good.  We are so thankful to Pops, Granny and Sarah for all that they did while we were gone.  Pops picked up dog doo in the yard, Granny cooked and ironed and Sarah did laundry and cleaned!  It was an awesome sight when we returned home.  We are so thankful, appreciative and privileged to be a part of FAMILY.
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,
to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you,
being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge,
that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works within us,
to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.
Amen."
Ephesians 3:14-21
