Container Garden Fun

Tom & Declan
When Tom and I bought our first home it was situated on a half acre lot...plenty of yard for a beautiful garden.  We both enjoy gardening...then children came along and we decided that the garden took time away from the kids so we kept it small and then eventually moved to our current location.  Our yard is fairly small and I've never wanted to take yard space to make a garden.  We do have a 20'x20' concrete pad that was used for a basketball hoop, sidewalk chalk, 4-square, etc....it was great when the children were smaller but now it just sits there unused...a perfect spot for container gardens!  My dad and mom have made the dream of having a garden again come true!

“And the Lord will continually guide you,
And satisfy your desire in scorched places,
And give strength to your bones;
And you will be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail."
Isaiah 58:11
It has been busy here...between building and planting a garden, Zac and Sarah getting back from their anniversary trip, hosting the guest preacher and his family Saturday night and Sunday, hosting a Memorial Day picnic, planting flowers and mulching, and now we are preparing for out-of-town family!

All the ingredients for sundaes!!
Thank You Amy!
Our precious great nephew, Declan comes to Columbus to visit his Papa T and Nana for a long weekend.  Here he is sleeping on our bed during our indoor Memorial Day picnic.  Indoor because it was in the mid 90's and too hot to be outside!  This heat is a rare occasion for Columbus, Ohio...it is usually cool.

Matt delivers our mulch and hauls it around the house...
Sarah and I enjoyed our time together as we put the mulch down...
it was the most gorgeous day as the heat broke!
So thankful for our hardworking children...I couldn't do it all without them.

Lisa ~ Please tell Papa and Granny (Lowell and Barb) that I want them to build a garden container for me too :-) Now that they have the procedure perfected, it should go like clockwork. They are a great team and great friends. We love them and we love you too. Praying you and your family feel God's presence and peace every minute of this day.
