Happy Birthday, Mom (Granny) Anglea

Happy Birthday, Granny
"Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all.
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the Lord,
She shall be praised."
Proverbs 31:28-30
Hindsight is 20/20 but boy am I thankful I had Tom write in his mom's birthday card on Monday night prior to his seizure on Tuesday.  I know that Granny treasures every piece of mail that comes her way...I know because I helped them move from a life of 50 years in Atlanta to Orlando!!!  She had saved quite the boatload of letters, greeting cards, etc. over the years.  Her heart is huge and the sentimental value she places on the "things that really matter" is incredible.  I know that she will treasure the birthday card that she receives from Tom this year.
Granny if only Tom could write this blog for himself it would be so much better and straight from the heart.  He loves you more than you can ever know.  Thank you for:
"Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he is old he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6
Thank you for not only teaching him Jesus' way but modeling it before him too.  Thank you for making church, God's word and tithing a priority that Tom learned from your example.  Not only that but Tom knows his God is a God that answers prayer.
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another,
and pray for one another,
so that you may be healed.
The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."
James 5:16
Because Tom grew up in a home where these truths were modeled and taught, he has been faithful to model and teach the same truths with great confidence.  It is my great privilege that you allowed him to go off to Bryan College where he would continue to grow and develop this truth and of course, meet me!  Who knew that your southern gentleman would be carried away by a young "Yankee" girl from Ohio.  Thank you for welcoming me into your home and family with open arms.  It has been the joy of my life to be his bride and grow my family into yours.  I have learned so much from you.  I believe the greatest thing I've learned is how to serve my husband with grace.  Watching you love Pops and be his help-mate has been such an encouragement.  I now know how to better make a sandwich, scramble eggs, and make cottage cheese salad to name only a few!
Thank you for giving of yourself so sacrificially...we love you and pray your day is blessed beyond measure.  Remember that our circumstances can never rob us of the joy of the Lord.
Wishing you birthday joy.

Compliments of the Betulius Family
What a special surprise to receive this beautiful and tasty Fall fruit display yesterday!  What a blessing to be remembered in such a special way from a very special family.  Thank you Steve, Becky, Marybeth & Ben!
Tom's speech is slowly coming back, still not great, but definitely going in the right direction.  Please pray that he will be able to sleep better.  The steroid he is on is keeping him from sleeping like he would like.
