Happy Five-O Julie!

'Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many.'

Today we honor our dear sister-in-love, Julie who celebrates a milestone birthday.  We are always sorry that we don't live closer so we can celebrate the milestones together.  We are thankful that Julie loves the Lord, Tim and her family.  We are blessed to have her as a special part of our Anglea family.
is for joyful...Julie!
is for understanding...
is for likable...
is for intelligent...(she can understand her husband!)
is for easy-going...

"Marriage is to be held in honor among all."
Hebrews 13:4a
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God."
Ephesians 3:14-19
We love you Julie and pray your day is filled with many blessings.
Our love,
Tom & Lisa

Now to fill in with words without pictures...God continues to sustain us, which is no surprise.  Tom had a very hard week last week.  The doctor started him on a steroid that proved to be very beneficial.  Tom's platelets still were too low to start the Avastin this week so we will find out today if his platelets have come up enough to start chemotherapy on Monday.  Tom is on the chemo schedule for Monday at noon and they said to plan for half a day for the first round.  He will then have his infusions every other week which then will not take quite as long.  Now that Tom is back on a steroid his appetite has greatly increased (so thankful not to be on the restricted diet any longer) and his sleep is harder to come by.  With some help from the nurse we are tweaking the times at which he takes his meds and this seems to be helping some.  His spirits are good for the most part, however we have had our "moments" and he has talked about things that give us hope that he's thinking forward.
Please pray for Tom's parents who are currently making the drive from Florida to Ohio.  This is a trip they have not driven in a long time.  We know that the Lord has His hand upon them.  They plan to arrive here in Columbus tomorrow (Friday).
Thank you again for rallying around us as we continue to trust the Lord in all things.

"O LORD of hosts,
How blessed is the man who trusts in You!"
Psalm 84:12

Lisa,
You are such a blessing. I appreciate your openness and sharing your heart with all of us. Your family has touched many lives, and we rejoice with you that God continues to be honored and made famous because of how graciously you are walking this pilgrimage of faith...
